Sane's contract is set to run out this summer at Bayern, and reports have suggested that the German is nearing an exit as a free agent after the end of this campaign. As such, Premier League giants Liverpool and Arsenal had shown interest in signing the former Manchester City winger.

As per , Sane has been offered a new contract by Bayern until the summer of 2028; however, the extension would see him take up a significant wage drop. The German international currently earns €20 million (£17.2m/$22.3m) with the Bavarian, and he would see his salary drop to €10m (£9m/$11m) and around €15m (£13m/$17m) if he meets his performance criteria.

The report has also suggested that Sane is willing to stay at Bayern past this summer despite the wage, and that he is not open to a move back to the Premier League this summer.
